It's like this on public transportation, too. On trains, if people aren't playing with their keitai, they're old cold, bodies shifting wildly with the train's movements, heads thrown back and mouths agape, yo-yoing beads of drool. And without fail, they will always wake up seconds before they reach their stop. I have no idea how the pudgy salaryman next to me (who's falling asleep on my shoulder, snoring and whose breath reeks of happy hour) can sleep through my loud throat-clearings and not-so-gentle nudges, but instantly awakens to the soothing, automated message of: "The next stop is..."
And people say nap time ends in kindergarten?

There's a teacher at my school who is also a Buddhist priest. He usually has to work late into the night so he sleeps A LOT at school... usually at a computer. At first, I wondered if he was narcoleptic...
