While I don't particularly enjoy ramen itself, I enjoy the ramen restaurants.
I like the way they're set up. Small (the limited space in Japan causes most buildings to be compact) and the seating is basically a bar. They're not unlike what's found in many video games... and indeed, I've noticed a lot of Japanese architectural/cultural/historical references in video games that I probably never would have recognized had I not lived here.
