Chigau! ちがう！
This handy word means both "different" and "incorrect." But to say someone's faulty assumptions, for example, are "different" is a much gentler way of pulling their head out of their ass. 2+2=5 isn't wrong, it's different! Chigau! We're all about preserving self-esteem here in Japan. No participation trophies here, though. Damn Generation Y.
